Wickliffe I&A Introduces Free Instructional Youth Bocce League

The Wickliffe Italian American club is now offering a FREE instructional bocce league for children, ages kindergarten through middle school. The league will meet for four lessons and will include instruction on the rules of the game and give hands-on experience to young players who are learning or refining their technique.

In 2017 the Pat O’Brien Cleveland Challenge Cup of Bocce was spotlighted in the feature film, “Breaking Balls”. This documentary was featured at the 2017 Cleveland International Film Festival, selling out a record 4 theaters during its run. This year is a milestone year for us at the Wickliffe Italian American Club as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Pat O’Brien Cleveland Challenge Cup of Bocce. This is an accomplishment that would not be possible without the continued support of our sponsors. Your continued support has enabled with Wickliffe Italian-American Scholarship Foundation to award, to date, over 200 scholarships to graduating seniors, totaling over $150,000. Our economic impact in 2017 for Lake County exceeded $400,000 during our three-day event. As we celebrate our 35th year we will be paying out more prize money than ever before- over $20,000!
